Narangba Aged Care have celebrated ‘National Tree Day’ by planting Bosai Trees. Local resident Bonsai guru Mr Wally Poole was able to share his knowledge and expertise on how to set up and grow the perfect Bonsai.
In Japanese, Bonsai translates to ‘planted in a container’. Which are essentially how Bonsais are planted. These trees are considered a form of art derived from ancient Chinese horticulture practises that are said to promote zen.
All the residents loved partaking in this activity and would be keen to take up any future opportunity to participate in table top planting!
