March 2025 Activities at Narangba Aged Care: A Month of Joy, Connection & Celebration

March has been nothing short of marvellous here at Narangba Aged Care! Our community has been buzzing with laughter, music, creativity, and a touch of Easter magic, making it a month to remember for residents, staff, and visitors alike.

Easter Cheer and a Hint of Mischief

The countdown to Easter is well and truly underway with our exciting Easter Raffle bringing smiles all around. Tickets have been flying out the door, and residents are eagerly anticipating the big reveal! Meanwhile, our cheeky Easter bunnies have been causing mischief, hopping around and hiding in the most unexpected places — but the chocolate egg reward for finding them makes the hunt all the more fun.

Music, Movement and Merriment

We were thrilled to welcome back some familiar faces and fabulous entertainers this month. A huge thank you to Jayde, Graham, Grace, and the ever-talented Rob, who filled our hearts with music and created an electric atmosphere through live performances and interactive singalongs.

We also enjoyed the uplifting presence of Sharon and her therapy dogs, Bella and Koda, who brought cuddles and comfort to everyone they met.

Staying active was a highlight, with lively morning exercise sessions, balloon games, and energising boxing classes that had residents moving, laughing, and working together. There’s nothing like teamwork to keep the spirits high!

Creative Afternoons and Sweet Treats

Our creative side shone through during our Paint and Sip session, where residents explored their artistic talents while enjoying a rich hot chocolate or a refreshing cold drink. It’s clear we have many budding artists among us!

Happy Hour and Hot Dog Hour were also a hit – from the delicious aroma of onions and bacon to the joy of building our own hot dogs, it was a feast for the senses. Of course, no week is complete without some old-school lollies (thank you Wendy!) and a few laughs with friends over a drink.

Games, Gardening and Great Company

Residents have been enjoying a variety of recreational activities, including spirited bocce matches, pool games, and relaxing afternoons spent gardening — followed, of course, by hot chocolate and biscuits.

Our knitting group, led by the ever-knowledgeable Dorothy and her wool spinner wheel, continues to be a hub of creativity and camaraderie. Sharing patterns, stories, and skills, the group has created a warm and welcoming space for everyone involved.

A Community to Celebrate

As always, it’s the people who make Narangba Aged Care truly special. From staff joining in on the fun to residents embracing every moment with joy, March has been a month full of meaningful connections and vibrant experiences. We’re proud of the incredible atmosphere here and can’t wait to see what next month brings!
