April 2025: Full of Fun, Creativity, and Community

At Narangba Aged Care, every day is an opportunity to celebrate joy, creativity, and the vibrant community we've built together. This month, April 2025 at Narangba our residents have had an exciting array of activities that bring both fun and connection, from crafting to games, music to stories.

Our day often begins with a burst of creativity, like the Easter crafts session, where residents delighted in making their own beautiful decorations. Following this, a balloon tennis game had everyone laughing and moving around, ensuring a light-hearted start to the day. Later, our residents showcased their skills and enjoyed friendly competition with a round of bowling, which ended the day on a high note.

The weather has been perfect for dining outdoors, and we're thrilled to have been able to enjoy lunch on the veranda. Surrounded by the sounds of wildlife and the beauty of nature, it was a peaceful way to recharge with good company. Our residents are always eager for these moments of tranquillity.

We also had a sweet treat during our cooking class, where residents crafted chocolate nests and filled them with delicious Easter eggs. The experience was as delightful as it sounds, and it truly brought out the inner child in everyone!

Our talented resident, Derrick, shared his poetic magic during Happy Hour, turning words into rhyming masterpieces that left us all in awe. Keith also entertained us with a captivating story that had everyone hanging on every word. These moments of storytelling and music create a unique bond within our community.

Art is a wonderful way for our residents to express themselves, and this month, they had the chance to create Picasso-inspired masterpieces. The individual creativity that blossomed was a beautiful sight, and the sessions sparked many conversations and smiles.

Music therapy has continued to be a favourite, with its power to evoke memories and inspire self-expression. It’s one of the many ways we ensure our residents feel both heard and connected.

We also marked our 7th anniversary with a special Happy Hour celebration, a time for our residents to reflect on the past and look forward to the future with joy. The festive spirit was contagious as we all celebrated together.

In addition to all these indoor activities, we enjoyed an exciting bus trip to Morayfield Bunnings. Shopping for plants, chatting with the friendly staff, and crafting Easter hats were just some of the highlights of the day.

The Easter Bunny even made a special visit, delivering sweet treats to our wonderful residents. It was a highlight of the season, and we were so pleased to celebrate the occasion with everyone.

As always, our monthly residents' meeting gave everyone a chance to discuss upcoming events and share their thoughts. Chef Sandra’s dessert tasting was a crowd-pleaser, with many residents providing feedback on new menu items, always ensuring a delicious variety of options.

Our Easter raffle was a huge success, thanks to the generosity of all who participated. Congratulations to our lucky winners, and thank you to everyone who supported our lifestyle team with their ticket purchases.

Whether it's a walk through the gardens, an afternoon game of quoits, or simply enjoying the companionship of friends, every day at Narangba is a chance to embrace the beauty of life. We look forward to more fun, creativity, and community moments in the months ahead.
