May 2026: rhythm, colour, and community warmth at Narangba Aged Care

May 2026 was a month full of movement, music, and genuine community spirit at Narangba Aged Care, and we loved every moment of it.

The highlight of the month was our monthly disco, and what a night it was. Made possible by the dedication of our wonderful staff, the disco brought our community together in the best possible way. Music filled the room, conversations flowed, and there was plenty of gentle movement that does the body and the soul a world of good. Events like these are about so much more than an evening out — they are about connection, shared joy, and the kind of laughter that stays with you long after the music stops.

Throughout the month we kept busy with a full programme of activities. Bocce, quoits, and bingo provided some friendly competition, and the beautiful sounds of Edward’s keyboard playing added a wonderful musical backdrop to our days. We also turned our creative hands to Mother’s Day art in the lead-up to the celebration, which brought out some real talent among our residents.

Mother’s Day itself was a gorgeous occasion. We started the day with a delightful morning tea and rounded out the afternoon with nail care, foot spa treatments, cool drinks, and delicious food. Congratulations to all the winners of our Mother’s Day raffle, and thank you to everyone who joined in and made the day so special.

A warm appreciation also goes to our staff for brightening our days throughout the month by wearing vibrant and colourful scrubs. The smiles and conversations those colours spark are a small thing that makes a genuinely big difference.

And as always, a special mention goes to our wonderful chef Sandra, whose breakfast spreads continued to delight in May. The abundance of choice, the quality, and the care that goes into every meal means so much to our residents, and Sandra’s dedication does not go unnoticed.

May at Narangba Aged Care was warm, joyful, and full of the small moments that make community life so meaningful. We are grateful for every one of them.
