Narangba Aged Care March 2026 Highlights
March 2026 Highlights | March was a month of celebration, culture, and community at Narangba Aged Care, and it was a good one. From honouring remarkable women to exploring 15 different cultural dishes in a single sitting, our residents and lifestyle team made the most of every occasion the calendar had to offer.
You may also have noticed we're looking a little different. We recently refreshed our brand and updated our website to make it easier for residents and families to find information and stay connected. While the look is evolving, the people and the care behind it haven't changed a bit.
International Women's Day
On 6 March, we took time to celebrate and recognise the trailblazing women who have shaped history through their passion and determination. The morning was marked with a spread of morning tea, cupcakes, and a hot cup of tea, and the real heart of the occasion was the storytelling. Residents and staff shared their own stories and reflected on the women who have influenced their lives. It was a lovely way to spend a morning together.
St Patrick's Day
The 17th brought a day full of laughter, games, and delicious food in honour of St Patrick's Day. A little bit of Irish spirit goes a long way, and our community embraced it wholeheartedly.
Wednesday Happy Hour
Every Wednesday at Narangba Aged Care, residents gather for Happy Hour, and it has quietly become one of the most anticipated moments of the week. Some weeks it's full of conversation and story sharing. Other weeks, live music takes over and the room comes alive. Either way, there's always something good to eat and a cold drink to enjoy.
Harmony Day: A Table of 15 Cultures
Harmony Day on 21 March was one of the highlights of the month. The lifestyle team put in a real effort, sourcing ingredients and preparing traditional dishes that represented the diverse backgrounds of residents and staff across the facility. Fifteen different foods were on the table, each one carrying its own story and cultural significance. Sitting together, tasting, asking questions, and learning about the history behind each dish made for an occasion that was both meaningful and genuinely delicious. It was a reminder of how much richness there is in the stories our community holds.
Resident Skills on Show
To close out the month, March gave residents a chance to put their skills to the test with a lineup of classic games and tabletop challenges. Tumbling tower, backgammon, snakes and ladders, tabletop bowling, and bean bag toss all made an appearance, and the results were impressive enough to surprise even the players themselves. There was plenty of friendly competition, more than a few close calls on the tumbling tower, and the kind of laughter that only comes from a really good game.
International Women’s Day, Harmony Day, St Patrick’s Day, and plenty of shared laughs it’s been a busy one! Safe to say… March kept us smiling. See our month in pictures.🎥
